I'm coming to visit for the week and staying at a downtown hotel. The overnight parking (self park) is $14 which gets a bit steep for 10 nights. Are there any less expensive options around The Landing?

TIA!!!

There might be something cheaper across the river in San Marco, but I'm not sure. There is a water taxi that goes between the 2 or you can just walk over the bridge. Are you really set on being near the Landing? I'm just asking because if you want to stay downtown because of nightlife, there are better places in Jax.

Well, I've already booked & paid for the hotel. I mean, it seems nice and I will be well located for the places I need to go..but the parking thing is really bugging me. I guess I should just let it go since I got such a great rate on the hotel, huh?

Grrr...

you might look to see if there are any lots near the hotel that might be cheaper
the surface lots are usually less than the garages

After 5 there is plenty of parking on the streets. And you don't need to put coins in the machines after 5 on weekdays or at all on the weekend. Yeah, that's right street parking is free on the weekends. So, at least you can keep you car out of the garage or lot on Saturday and Sunday. I never have trouble finding street parking within 3-4 blocks of the Landing.

Check out the rates here:

The garage next door to our new library is pretty nice and it's self-park, I think it's #13 on the list.

Thank you guys. I know it may seem petty, but at $4 a gallon and moving expenses, I would just rather not spend any more than I have to for parking.

Riveree, that looks great. Do they allow overnight parking?

I think so....they offer monthly, so they must allow overnight for a week.
