Well, it is about time we built a new H.S in that area
I cannot believe we waited 20 years to build a new H.S!

Sorry to hear it will only house 2000 students...that's not very big.

We've talked here on the forum of issues that some of Duval's high schools face due to overcrowding, so it's good to see that some relief will be given to a number of schools...

School boundaries have not been drawn, but the high school could alleviate some overcrowding at Wolfson, Sandalwood, Englewood and Mandarin High Schools, and service incoming freshmen from Twin Lakes, Southside, DuPont and Kernan Middle Schools.

The OP never stated where the school actually was, but by reading your post I see its the Southside. Fletcher and Parker not effected so I am guessing somewhere near JTB???

I have seen a sign post telling about a new high school construction on 9A, Bemeadows exit.

Is it going to open for 2009 academic year? Any ideas?

Ahhhh Baymeadows. Makes sense! Southside will now have 7 HSs to the Westsides 4 and the Northsides 4.
