Jax Areas , (Plantation, Orange Park: home, high schools, living)

Hi,

We are thinking of moving to Jax from the Uk , We are looking at Ponte Vedra/ Orange Park / fleming Island communities , (eagle harbour i think)

We are looking for good kindergarten , first middle and high schools and hope you can provide some valuable info on the best places to live.

Eagle Harbor and Fleming Island Plantation have quite a few ex-Pats, so you'd feel quite at home here. As well, the schools are great, and the area is quite family-friendly.

One huge thing to consider however: your commute to work. For those who live here and work on the east side of the St Johns River, the traffic on Rt 17 and I-295 over the Buckman Bridge has to be considered. Some find it a hassle but not a bother while others are pulling out their hair. We're in the former because the plusses of living here outweigh the negatives of the commuter traffic.
