we have the screned in patio and have never had the lizard or the frog problem, and we live out in the middle of nowhere surrounded by over 100 acres of woods including wetlands/swamps and have had no mosquitos either. Dust however is another story, get plenty of that. The contractor we had was

Default Sunroom

Check your state guidelines, but in many places you may be able to add a sunroom to the total square footage count of your home, further increasing the resale value. There are specific requirements that must be met though (ie. heating).
If you can afford the price jump to a sunroom, go for that!

We opted for a screened-in patio and love it.

BTW, why is a sunroom called a sunroom if it's covered from the sun?

We have a covered, screened porch that came with the house. No problems with frogs or lizards. I love it! Soon we're going to put up gutters along the screened sides and I think that should reduce the dirt that comes through the screen. As it is, the rain comes down so hard that we can't grow grass next to the house there and it splashes dirt on/through the screen.

The lizards and frogs do not come through the screens but they can come through any crack or under a door, etc. If you don't want to run AC, I would recommend screening it (a little more work to clean) as without AC, you will have an oven in the heat of summer (6 - 7 months).

Is this a professionally installed screened room or an owner added addition. Because a professionally installed screen room should have a kick plate on the bottom to stop dirt infiltration by rain splatter.

We just had our under-roof patio screened by a contractor. We had the choice of a bottom kick plate or screen. We opted for the kick plate. The chickens peck at it all the time. Glad we chose the kick plate! Haha
