This was once considered to be a decent area but that was 20 years ago. Go closer to J Turner Butler Blvd and Southside for your shopping needs, it's the closest to that area.

Why did you choose Regency Mall of all the other malls that are in Jax?

if you have to go to regency, i'd recommend going during a weekday morning (between 10a-2p). regency isn't too busy then, sans the lunch hour.

how old is your little one? there is a train and a playground there. my 2 year old loved riding in the train!

ah, so you made it thru last year's brutal winter. i moved here from jax in may 2001 and last year was the worst winter i have experienced... other than the six months of cold weather though, i like it here a lot.

Yah, last winter was brutal! I heard it was the worst in quite some time. Hopefully this year is milder, although the cold is already getting to me.

I would agree with the other that if you're main motive is shopping, forget
Regency. However, if you're just wanting to spend some time with your child there, that's another story. They have the train ride, and lots of little of those quarter rides plus a small play area that my kids, 4 and 6, absolutely love to go there for. It's a cheap entertaining afternoon for them, and you can grab a bite to eat while you're there. Just remember to use some sanitary wipes after playing on the play area.....otherwise you're kids will end up sick.

i am usually ok through the holidays, as it's nice to live in a place where it's cold for christmas and snow is on the ground. right around the end of january to may is where i question why i ever moved here. then summer starts and i love it again. the summers are more fun here than anywhere i can think of in the states. every weekend is packed with streetfests and cubs games.

I LOVE Regency Mall! Its near my house (in Arlington). I can get all my shopping done in ONE place! I hit up Sephora in JcPenneys then head over to New York and Co (my fav), then let the kids at the train for a minute or two (only $2!!) then I hit the health food store bath and body, then the food court, they just had A&D buffalos open up and they have the BEST gyro (I love their tiziki(sp?) sauce!), I HAVE to get the kids a pretzel, then of course off to the play area in the west mall and if the older kids are behaving i let them lose at Lunar Golf! AND when i was walking through doing my weekly shopping, someone gave me FREE train tokens! Woo Hoo!! I'd recommend this mall to anyone.
