We went to see Joel Osteen last night. There must have been about 10,000 people there, which begs the question (at least to me) is there a Church in Jacksonville with a similar message to Joel's? Where do all these people go on Sundays. We haven't been here long, but so far have not found a Church that resonates with us. Of course there were a lot of out of state visitors. I'm not looking for pros and cons about Joel Osteen and his view of God, just asking about local Churches with a similar message

Why open the door to that? Pros and Cons on Joel Osteen? I fyou do a search you will discover a MILLION PROS AND CONS on him and others. I'm surprised you even asked for that. Didn't you say you were looking for a church with a similar teaching? I would guess that means you enjoy Joel Osteen. That's all that matters, do YOU enjoy him? Because when it comes to preachers you will get more "cons" then pros from the public. I wouldn't waste my time asking someone else what THEY think about someone I LIKE. Plus it just opens the door to a plethora of ugly remarks and rumors and after awhile you don't really know who to believe. The truth is NONE OF US really KNOW JOEL OSTEEN. So in love I offer, you to just think for yourself. Do you like Joel Osteen? Your answer is the end of it. As far as churches like his there are plenty and I know there must be a few in that area. Just look under WORD OF FAITH or contact his church and ask them. When they do these huge meetings they normally connect with churches in there area...and work together at getting the people there. But Please NO PROS AND CONS about anyone.

The OP specifically stated that she was NOT asking about the pros and cons. Just looking for a similar church experience here in Jax. The second and third to last sentence in your post answered her question.
