Did you know, they (the NFL) doubled the number of tickets available to fans via lottery? Yeah, they doubled the number to 1,000. Yes, that's one THOUSAND out of 82,000 sold.
Well at least Superbowl XXXIX Patriots 24 - Eagles 21 in Jacksonville was a better
game than Superbowl XLVIII Seahawks 43 - Broncos 8 held in New York City.

actually it was a very exciting game due to the reaction to Richard Sherman after the Nfc game. People can be as negative as they want, but with the city investing all that money in the score board & swimming pool...why not go for another SB?

Last nights Superbowl game actually never lived up to the hype created by Richard Sherman's reaction after the NFC game.

No SB in JAX until DT has made some major changes. Ask yourself this, what has changed since the last SB we hosted?

Why on Earth would the NFL want to bring the SB back here? In the last 10 years, Jacksonville brought in (by far) the least amount of money of any SB during that time.

I didn't live here when it was here but I heard enough about it and know enough about the area to know it makes very little sense to bring it back here. What, exactly, are people supposed to do down there? Where is everyone supposed to stay?

Just because they're building a new scoreboard--which we shouldn't have to pay for but are being made to pay for--doesn't mean there should be a SB here. If they ever made the downtown area an area which people actually wanted to go to because there were actually things to do, then it might be a different story.

Probably never but who knows with the NFL! The league isn't even taking Miami seriously after hosting 10 Superbowls because they don't have a roofed stadium now when we had that rare rainstorm in February. Meanwhile they gave the Superbowl to NYC/NJ this year with it's terrible weather.
Now the Dolphin's owner who is a billionaire wants Miami Dade county to use tourist taxes to upgrade Joe Robbie stadium and voters rejected the plan.
JAX needs more hotels and entertainment options to be able to host again.
