My wife found that her Clay school (Lake Asbury Elem) had a lot more parent involvement that where she has taught/counseled in Duval.
I would like a teacher to compare Clay vs Duval county teaching jobs in terms of benefits, perks, job stability, union etc. I know Duval pays a few hundred more but it's not all about the money

The teachers in this area just had their last day of school before the New Year. I doubt that many of them are looking at City-Data right now.

Mandarin is a decent area in Duval County, both for living and for schools.

Both of my kids have been in Clay County schools their whole lives, and the results have been great. Especially for my daughter, who is autistic. The autism program in Clay County is top notch.

Hello! I have a son who is 8 and severely autistic. I wanted to know if you know what St. Johns County Schools autism programs are like, and how they compare to Clay County Schools?

Also, exactly what are Clay County's autism programs like?

We are considering moving to either Clay County or St Johns County (Nocatee area in particular) ... we have a 5 year old high functioning autistic child that is going into kindergarten this fall and we are trying to figure out what the best place for him will be and if any of the elementary schools are better than another for special needs. We are able to live anywhere so our decision will be based on the school that will be the best fit.
Thanks!

Both St Johns county and Clay county have A rated school. However St Johns counties schools are ranked #1 in the state of Florida.
