A guy was shooting a gun outside a night club (Plush) a couple of days ago; a policeman had to shoot him. Last week someone fired a gun in another crowded night club (Club Aqua??).

When I was in my late teens and early twenties, we went to clubs/bars/parties to have fun, drink, and chase girls. Now people get shot at these places? Why?

If a person feels like they can't go to an establishment unless they're armed, why do they even want to go there in the first place?

It's probably not hard to tell who was involved in these altercations at these night clubs. I didnt see the article on the news, but I would be willing to bet that it is probably young AA trying to be "hard" and it's getting out of control.

I just checked the article on the Jax news website. Not much information yet, although good to hear people are coming forward with information.

Although, sadly, I read that it was (already) Jax's 11th homicide. WOW!

That is why I like to buy my Single Malt Scotch and drink it in the Lanai. The only shots I see are the 3 to 4 shots to get to the green on the Par 5.

Yea the shootings blow my mind. One of my friends was shot last year (although he put himself in a very stupid situation) on the westside. He went back up north recently.

I also just found out that I guy I know (knew) was one of the guys shot and killed last november by police. (not a friend, but an acquaintance). He was one of the dumb-

robbing people with a bb gun.

The problem is some people are just really dumb, don't value life, or think its "cool" to be doing the thug thing.

Back to the topic....

I am really disappointed that there was a shooting at "Twisted Sisters" here at the beach not too long ago.

Twisted Sisters used to be my absolute favorite bar/lounge. It had a surfy, eclectic, artsy, and very vibrant yet laid-back atmosphere. It got "bought-out" last year by this northern guy and was completely changed into the "Club" thing (also very bad service) I have gone once since the change in ownership, and it is now filled with wanna-be thugs and ghettos.

That is why there was a shooting. These people look up to drug dealing and "thuggin" with guns (and claim its "because we can't get no job")- believe me, I know first hand.....

The guy from up north that bought the club and changed it did it because of money probably. He wants to do the "in" thing and make money by turning it into a club where young AA go .....................and then booooooom! watch the violence escalate! Jax has a lot of these types, so I'm sure his club is popular with the youth.

What you mean, Footers? Alcoholics Anonymous people don't need to be in no club anyway.
