I've found a small European grocery at Baymeadows & Old Kings Rd. called Granap. They have great fresh bread- $2 a loaf. I stop by on the way from picking up my kids and have to get two loaves, as we eat half of one on the way home.

Also, the Columbian bakery a few doors down is open again, but with more goodies. Antojitos Colombiano s Bakery. Guava bread, cheese bread, they now have lunches and a cappucino machine. And in the same strip, a Boba shop and Indian grocery. It's becoming a fav stop for us.

No, across Old Kings Road- behind the Kangaroo Mart. The european and Columbian stores face Baymeadows. The Indian store faces Old Kings Road and Aroma Corner- the boba, sandwich, pastry shop is right in the middle.

If you like cheese danish, you must try the cheese pastries at the Columbian bakery. Not too sweet and lots of cream cheese. The guava bread, too, isn't so sickening sweet, just right, IMO.

I haven't done more than run in and out for the bread at the European store- many times! If anyone goes there and has suggestions....

I'll have to remember to bring my camera. Here's an old Aroma Corner thread with pix.

Did you happen to notice what time the bakery opened? I wonder if I can stop in before work to take in some pastries.

This is very cool. I grew up about three miles from this area and back then it wasn't very diverse at all. Have the neighborhoods around there become as diverse as the businesses?

Antojito Colombiano opens at 8:30am, but is closed on Monday. Granap, with the great fresh bread, is to the left of the Colombian store. Both face Baymeadows. Gubbio's is a Jax landmark and is located at the opposite end of the shopping center, facing Old Kings Rd.
