This thread is hilarious.

Anyways, are you an exchange student? Where are you coming from?
What will you be studying? english maybe? j/k

What IS a good school to you? what do you desire in a college?
UNF has good academic programs, offers masters degrees, has a great business program, great logistics program, offers doctoral health programs (such as physical therapy)

UNF also has a nice campus and nice amenities for a school of its size (16,000 students)

Let us know what you are looking for and maybe we can help you find what you want

No. The University of Florida is the best in terms of academic reputation.

Make sure your TOEFL score is good enough before you bother applying to any of these schools.

It's not necessarily horrible, but it could be if you want an urban campus. If you want to live in a big city like New York City or Chicago. It's not a good choice if you want to study marine biology (I assume) or law or music (no grad programs in either). My point was you gave no details so there was no way to know whether it would suit you from an academic or social standpoint.

Depends on the program. But yeah, University of Florida, for an undergraduate degree overall, is probably the best school in the state. Public or private.

Where do you want to study english? You plan to do that before pursuing a bachelors in engineering? I think most of the state schools in Florida have decent engineering programs...but the aforementioned University of Florida would be the strongest. But UNF for English would be fine, I think...

it's pretty good from what i know of it.
here's an interesting link about students' rating profs:
University of North Florida - Florida - RateMyProfessors.com
it will not necessarily give you a definite answer but it can help making your mind.
