Hello all. I am new to this forum and looking for some help. I am planning a wedding and want to have it at one of our local parks. I have been looking at Treaty Oak as I love the big tree! But my problem is... there aren't any restrooms! We are having the reception somewhere else (not sure where yet) but I want there to be a restroom if our guests need one. Any advice? Any suggestions on other parks? I would love to hear from you!

Thanks!!!

Is there a bathroom at the park?

You won't find bathrooms at very many picturesque public parks.

There's not one at Memorial, no.

I'd consider renting a few nice portopottys.

There are bathrooms at Hanna Park (near the beach), but i'm not sure they are close to where you'd find a good ceremony spot. Newer, suburban parks like Ringhaver on the Westside will often have bathrooms, but not the charm or ambiance.

Someone may correct me if i'm wrng, but the only park that will have public bathrooms anywhere near one of the older, classic parks will be Klutho Park. They are having bathrooms being installed in the bandstand now (have already started the construction) and they should be ready in a couple months.

Here's some photos of Klutho (the restrooms will be inside the bandstand):

It's center is at the intersection of Silver & 3rd Street: Henry J. Klutho Park
