Did you go yesterday?! 40,000 attended on opening day and it was a HIT! We thought the new *Riverside Art Market* was over the top, even beyond expectations. We loved the selection of artists (some better than others, but still a great variety), the entertainment along the river, the shady venue under the bridge, the food, the plants and farmers market and most of all the energy. If you haven't been, you must go! We went early, by the time we had seen it all the crowds were pretty big. Only thing I noticed is that they are going to need to bring in extra porta-potties! There are facilities, but the lines were long. <Avoid the lines and "Go" before you get there...haha>

I planned on going, but then at the last minute decided to just wait until another time. I am glad I did as I don't think I would have wanted to fight that big of a crowd.
I'm glad it went over well.

40,000 is way too many people! Apparently, organizers had estimated a turnout of 100,000...for the entire year! At this rate they'll hit it before the first month is over. Anyway, I hope that number drops by half in the future, but then holds steady at 10-20 thousand visitors. That would be perfect...can't wait to visit the next time I can make it to Jax!

It was great!!! 40,000 people, it was crazy. The weather was perfect and it had the best kennel corn I've ever had. I didn't see a lot of people buying art. I think most went to look and see what they had to offer and grab cards. I bought a $21.00 book but grabbed 10 cards from Artists so when I move to downtown, I know who I want to do what with my art.

It's obvious this is something that Jax was sorely missing. I wish it had a little more music.

Not as many will attend on a weekly basis, obviously. It was very fun.
