I am about to begin a new role in Jax and need some help on temp living arrangements. I looked at the typical corporate housing options but not sure I want to spend that much as it is just me coming down. I'll be needing a place in mid-april through the end of May when my family will join me and we will have a house. I may just book a week at a time at the Candlewood Suites by the St Johns Town Center (near my office) if I can't find any better options.

Does anyone know of any economical alternatives?

I don't know of any corporate apartments that are under two months. I know of a nice condo near NAS that has some owners accepting two month leases. If interested, DM me.

Hi Newbote,

When we moved down last Aug. we stayed a LaTerra Resort and Spa in World Golf Village. It sounds fancy (and it was really nice) but very affordable. It is in the King and the Bear. It has a St. Augustine address but it is very close to 95 and a very easy commute for my husband who works downtown.
They have 1,2 and 3 bedroom fully furnished suites, a full gym and a beautiful pool. We had a great time there and stayed for almost 2 months. I think the majority of their customers are people moving to the area or people waiting to close on a house.

The last time I mentioned LaTerra on this forum I did a quick search and noticed they are under new ownership so I hope all this info is still accurate. Oh...I also want to mention that we negiotated a better rate than what was originial quoted. Good Luck with your search........no time for spell check I must get the kids up for school!
