Default Maybe we can narrow it down

Hi goldenbrownsugar,

Jacksonville is HUGE - I mean really, really huge - 840 sq miles, bigger than LA.

You'll want to narrow it down a bit to a general area and then look at individual neighborhoods:

1) Are you moving here to live near family or friends (where do they live?)?

2) If working, commuting distance can be a deciding factor - is there a work location you'll need to be near?

3) Are you looking to rent or buy? Different parts of town are better for different things.

4) If buying, what price range? Do you want a brand new home? an older home? etc.?

I would recommend NW St Johns County. Julington Creek area or St Augustine, but it really will depend on your price range. These areas have excellent schools and are great family-type communities, with no crime. Maybe a car break-in here and there (if that)

I agree with the questions above, please tell us the few things that are important to you (close to work, close to certain conveniences, price range, etc) and we can give better recommendations.

The best location for your family will depend on how much you can spend on housing. Others have given great recommendations. Orange Park/Fleming Island and Mandarin are also nice areas with good schools and fairly affordable housing.
