Have any of you ever been to a show at the St. Augustine Amphitheater?

I would like to go check out a concert there.

But somehow I have gotten the impression and I can't seem to find the answer to my question. Seems I had heard that it's a matter that one parks in one place and rides a shuttle bus over to where the outdoor amphitheater is.

Is that so?

That sounds awfully cumbersome to me.

I want to know things like, is the above the case? If not, is it a matter that you can bring lawn chairs and just park there, on site?

We have not been to a concert night there, but we do go to the farmers market on weekends. There is parking on site. But most of the hotels in historic distric do offer shuttles there as well, since it is on Anastasia Island and not within walking distance to these hotels.

I have been to two shows there and it's wonderful! A very new, clean facility. Plenty of parking right up front and farther parking if need be. I highly reccommend it. There's not a bad seat in the house. Goin' to Whitesnake & Judas Priest in August. saw Hall & Oates in April.
