We are moving to JAX and have put Julington Creek Plantation on our very short list. I will be working in the Cecil Field area, what is an approximate commute time? Thanks.

A little less than 30 miles / 45 minutes. But traffic is the real issue. It can get clogged on SR13/San Jose Blvd, which increases your commute.

Cecil Field can lead to some tough commutes if you don't like the Westside. It's pretty far out there.

Yeah, I was gonna say at least 45 minutes. If that outer beltway ever gets approved and finished, though, that'll save some time.

It's a much better drive if you live in Clay County or Mandarin. But Joe is right: San Jose gets clogged at Rush Hour.

If the OP prefers masterplanned communities such as Julington Creek, perhaps the Oakleaf and Eagle Landing areas would offer a better commute to Cecil Field? Yes?

I live in Eagle Landing - it would take maybe 10-15 minutes. Oakleaf Plantation to Branan Field to 103rd. I'm 9 miles from my business on Blanding - takes about 20 minutes to get there but that's because of all the gosh darn signals on Argyle

Thanks for the input. I see Eagle Landing is the closest to Cecil Field, but my priority is a good high school for my two teenagers. How is Middleburg High?? I was leaning towards Julington Creek or Fleming Island because of the high schools. Thanks again...

Do you have an idea of what hours you will be working ?
Believe it or not that will affect the drive time.
