It was saddest day of smoothie history

Few months back they said they're closing 10 underperforming stores and terminating some leases for new store. Have you checked the one on Atlantic blvd near the intercoastal?

plus, the starbucks next to them is closing too.

Wow I am still in shock thank you for that. I see smoothie king is king here...and in my opinion they are terrible. I am so bummed. In a hot place like this you'd think you'd be able to get a good smoothie.

The Atlantic location is closed too.

There's also Planet Smoothie.

I'm not a big smoothie fan, but I've had their smoothies at the Lakewood location and they were good (University Blvd). They're still open, and there are some other Planet Smoothie locations around Jax.

Damn even Atlantic is closed too? That probably means they've terminated the lease at Oakleaf too, it remains empty even though they scheduled to be open this month.
Too bad the stores are corporate owned, so they got sole discretion on who to close.

well, good thing aroma corner is still around the corner.

Yeah, I never was a big fan of jamba Juice. Their smoothies were so thick and made me feel tired and slow. My firneds from South Florida always raved about Jamba Juice, but I tried a couple things off of the menu and was never impressed. Planet Smoothie definately has my vote for best smoothies in town. Try a Leapin' Lizard.

I don't order off the menu, instead, I tell them what I want in it and they make it with a smile.

I don't think Jamba Juice is going in at Oakleaf. I was walking by the store today on my way to the candy store and saw a legal document taped to the door. Since it was outside and available I glanced it over....turns out back around the 14th the landlord filed suit about 14K + in unpaid rent.

It was duct taped to the outside door! How strange....and sad..but I don't think Jamba Juice would have done well there anyway. Better to cut losses before spending all the money on fixtures and training.
