I am thinking of moving to Middleburg, FL and might possibly be getting a job in Gainesville, FL. Am wondering how long (particularly timewise), it might be to drive to Gainesville from Middleburg. Thanx, in advance, for any info.

1 hour, max. From S. Jax, it takes roughly 1.5 hours.

I live in Middleburg, and it takes between 50-60 minutes to get to Gainesville. It largely depends on what part of G-ville you're working in and what part of Middleburg you live in. Also, what time of day your commute begins and ends.

If you're open to other areas, take a look at Keystone Heights too. It will give you the same rural feel as Middleburg, but it's much closer to Gainesville. Keystone Heights also has brand new developments now too.

It's roughly 45 miles, though several small towns you have to pass through are known speed traps...I'd say around an hour, maybe a little less.

hi, i live in keystone, the middleburg side as opposed to the starke or gnsvl side and it's 45 min from home to archer road or mid gansvl. i'm afraid i'd feel like middleburg was too far to live if i had to work in gnsvl. i agree with the person who suggested keystone hts, and i'd suggest looking at melrose too. i'd think of that as half an hour to gnsvl (that's the time frame with traffic after 7 p.m. it will be even better when the overpass that crosses over 301 is finished.

I live between Melrose and Keystone Heights and work in Gainesville. The commute if about 30 minutes - sometimes less, depending on weather, time of day, traffic and where you are going in Gainesville. Nice commute, but watch out for deer! The nice part about where we live is that we are in the southern corner of Bradford County and property taxes are cheaper than Clay or Alachua Counties. We recently thought about moving, but looked around and learned we are really in the best spot for quiet, relaxed living. Good Luck!
