Traffic around Jax and density of the "city" is not really comparable to that of Atlanta. I'd think you could find what you're looking for without searching "outside" of Jacksonville.

Depending where in Atlanta you live it is closer to a 6 hour drive to jacksonville. I lived in Metro Atlanta area almost all my life and just moved down here about 7 months ago. Traffic is NO where near as bad as Atlanta traffic is. I live on the east side of Jacksonville, they actually call it the south side, off of Atlatic blvd and is a pretty safe area. It is not very far from downtown either maybe 15 miles or so and you are only about 10 miles or so from the beach area. I have never driven to downtown in "rush" hour but I would not think it would take longer than 30 mins from where I live to get downtown. Give you an idea I live half a mile from the Kernan blvd and Atlantic blvd intersection area code 32225. Just saw it says you are from dallas, ga. I lived in Rockmart before we moved here.

Maybe someone can help me. My family and I are relocating to Jacsonville FL from Miami. We are wondering what are the safe areas. We found a beautiful apartment that is located in area code 32277. It is on University Blvd. N. Can anyone shed some light concerning the safety of this area? So far I have gotten good feed back from people but I would rather speak to someone who has first hand experience. Thank you very much.
