September 2007. I would say I am neutral on JAX overall.

My family and I moved here from Connecticut in July of 2004. I can't believe it's already been five years!

After having lived in Ft Lauderdale for 2 yrs starting in 2000, I came back to Atlanta for job. I've been in Atlanta on off for 13 yrs and I have had enough. It helped my career but hate this place now - it absolutely sucks. But where to go?

I didn't consider FL because my mind was that all of FL was like South FL - which is a sh*thole. I then thought Charleston, and this is still probably the best place overall but felt a little too small for building an IT business.

I visited a friend in St Aug (twice now) and realized such a small historic town, within commuting to Jax, was the ideal to raise my new family. I found St A very family oriented compared to the nasty ATL. Our house goes up for sale in a few weeks.

Anyway, great to see the good reviews and how happy people are. We need some change. Worried about job but we'l have to make it work.

June 2007 from northeast PA (prior to that in WI and before that in MA). Love Jacksonville for all it has to offer - including the ease of making new friends.
