We live in the Julington Creek area and often go boating on the weekends. We have used Goodbys ramp (which is very nice, lots of parking) we also like mandarin Park. We have started going onto the intercoastal and into St Augustine. I like that the best. The water isnt near as choppy and it has such pretty sites in that area. We are going to try tubing this weekend, we havent done that yet, but just bought a tube we are dying to try out.

We love Jacksonville, lots of outdoor activities avail and the crime isnt bad at all. (Not in the St Johns area)

Okay, so now we are getting to the boating crowd! We should all meet up some weekend. We currently have our boat at Julington Creek Marina. Before that we put in at Mandarin park. We are new to the area and to boating and have had quite a few memorable experiences!!! Most good, some funny and some just down right weird! and oh yeah some expensive...

YES......for the "boating crowd"! We definitely should meet some weekend. What kind of boat do you have? Ours is a 20' cuddy that I have also install rod holders on so wife/I can do some fishing (as well as cruising around). We have the boat at a Boat/RV Storage on Shad Rd (in a large parking lot). We have put in at Mandarin Park, but Goodby's is much closer for us. As far as "seeing" some funny, but sometimes expensive, boating experiences......just go to a ramp when people are launching or retrieving. Don't take your boat, just go there and watch (don't laugh too hard though and offer to help if possible in the case of problem)! Something else!
Send us a PM and we will tell you more.

We would love to be involved in a boating "get together". Sounds like some plans need to be made! It's nice to see a group of boaters that are new to the area....we can all broadcast our mistakes for other to learn from! Personally, I'm all about meeting at the Hooters at Goodby's Creek...and yes, for the food...and it's convenience. The wife and I also spent some time at the art festival under the Highway 10 bridge and thought that it would be a great place to boat to for lunch and some live music on saturdays...

We have a 23 foot deck boat that my sweet husband thinks is (and drives it like) a speedboat. I, on the other hand, like to mosey down the river and look at everything.
