About $600 a month for three- one adult and two teens, plus a dog and a cat. We used to eat out four or so nights a week, now maybe one. (Not with the dog and cat )

Walmart definately has the cheaper prices and a nice selection. On top of that, they have pretty much anything else you may need.

I spend $450-$500 a month on groceries; I'm not about to make 2-4 trips to the grocery a week so if I stock up on food ahead of time, it'll last me a month or two.

Family of 3 - we spend approx $350 per month on groceries, and eat out 1-2 times a week. Like shopping at Publix, Winn Dixie and Costco. I am not that good at using coupons. I clip them, but then often don't have them with me when I shop...duh?!

Wow, quite a variety of answers! Thanks everyone! I find the walmart in canada a bit cheaper than the chain grocery stores too and of course, costco (but I don't tend to buy in bulk). I guess the deals are out there but it's finding the time and energy to shop around. My mom would always go to like, 3 grocery stores and my Dad would get mad cause he claimed he spent more on gas than she saved on groceries.
