What part is best for you depends on your criteria.

If you have no criteria, then any area will do. There are hospitals all over.

We moved here this past January and live in the Baymeadows-Southside area and really like it! We are just off of Southside Blvd and down the street from The Avenues Mall........definitely a nice area!! We live in a nice apt. complex.

Do you like having bars on your windows? If not, then that's at least one condition you might want to share.

I enjoy the Historic neighborhoods that surrond Downtown, Riverside, Avondale, San Macro, & Springfield. Throw in Murray Hill for fun too. These are mostly older, unique, character-filled houses in established enighborhoods that have a lot (parks, river, downtown, events, festivals, arts, schools, restuarants, cafes, theaters, bars, sports complex, history, and ....lots of hospitals) in walking distance or a very short drive (a few miles).

If interested, i have a lot of info, some new info too.

See, now we're getting somewhere!

What are your likes and dislikes, in terms of in a city? How important is nightlife to you? Do you plan on buying or renting? Do you plan on having kids in the next X years? Do you want to live close to water (river, beach, ICW, etc.), or does it not matter? What's your housing budget like?

Those are the kinds of things that will help us determine what areas might be best suited for you. For example, a family with school-aged kids generally will avoid the Northside and won't care much about the "happening" night club spots. A single 20-something might put a great deal of emphasis on night life and might want to live on the Southside and may not care to live in the suburbs like Clay County.

See what I mean? I'd hate to see you, for example, move to Clay County just because I and others love it here, then you get here and go "Hey, this isn't close to the beach! And where are the awesome night clubs?"

A nightlife is not a big concern right now I am looking for an area that is safe for me to be able to live alone, and with 2 cats ( i do not want a really busy street, I do not want them to get run over). I am also looking for a location that is some what near a school and hospital. I would love to live near the water, but I need an apt that is not going to brake the bank. What I have found so far that it looks like the SouthSide might be a good option.
