If you've ever wondered who would win in a match-up between football and rugby league players, don't miss the Half and Half Challenge on August 1 when the Jacksonville Knights take on the Jacksonville Axemen. Both teams play football for the first half, then take off the pads and helmets and play rugby league for the second.

I love rugby and understand the game (tho you'll never find me in a scrum that's for sure). However, I'm clueless about "union" and "league" - what's the difference between the two?

league is 13 people, no ruck, uncontested scrums, no lineouts.
