I pass through Aberdeen/Durbin Crossing regularly ... in the past six months or so, home construction has exploded, from what I've seen. Houses sprouting all over the place.

We rent in Aberdeen and it is absolutely fabulous. Everything is so convenient. All the daily shopping is very close by, bigger shopping areas are across the bridge in Mandarin, the schools are excellent and literally right down the street, and the neighborhood is booming again. The houses are sprouting up like daisies. It seems from start to finish - they go up in about 4 months. The people here are very nice (everyone is friendly and not snooty) and the homeowners association is not like a police department. Highly, highly recommend it. Prices are fantastic for buyers and more home for the money, and all the same perks as everywhere else. We are not ready to buy now, but we would buy here if the timing was different. Have fun looking. Good luck.
