this area is hockey hell, the ice rink in JAX is a dump and the level of play is low (I'm from NJ) there is also a roller rink in JAX but I don't know anything about it.
Like a coach at the JAX ice rink told my son, if you really want to play hockey, stay in NJ.

From what I hear they are building a hockey arena out by the world golf village, it won't be complete for a year or 2 and I don't think it will have any public skating.

I hear that there might be decent hockey in Orlando and I know there is a good team down in WPB

Default Roller hockey rink

I just got done playing roller hockey--by myself. There is a place to play in North St Johns County. Do you still play? It would be great to get a game together sometime. I have been wondering how I could see if anyone else played in this area.

Let me know...

Mike

it's the only ice for many miles.
the rink is ugly but the ice is ok, most rinks rarely cut the ice during a public skate. and the rink can do little about the skill level of the people who skate there. my kids skated there a lot this past summer and had no problems there beyond the poor state of the facilities.

I've been looking for a place close by to play since i moved here. I always end up on tennis courts paying by myself or one other person. Where is this place in North St. Johns? Would love to find an actual rink, even if I am skating by myself.

I was a member of the YMCA on Pope Rd. for a few months because when I took the tour they had hockey goals in the basketball court and a nice skating surface, however, I was only able to skate once because every other time they had childrens basketball going on. I wonder why they even have the goals?
