I've decided I want to live in Jax beach and I'm looking to rent a condo or apartment (or room in a house) that is within walking distance to the ocean and the beach bars/restaurants in the center of Jax Bch. By "longterm" I mean I'd like to live there for a year or so.

I've looked around a good bit on the web (craigslist, yahoo etc.) but haven't found much in the way of rentals. Does anybody have any better ideas for finding a place to rent?? Do you have to go directly through the condo management companies??
Thanks
Kevin

Usually in areas that have beaches and alot of rental property (many people own vacation homes and rent them out when they are not there), they have real estate people do the looking for them...

I would check the phone book and start making phone calls, I would even put up a flyer anyplace where they have a bullentin board for these things. The best rate would probably be one where you didn't deal with an agent, just the home owner directly.

Try this and if you find a place that is managed by a company. Call and tell them what you are looking for because they may have others that are not listed. Good Luck
