Once you've seen the world and are ready to settle down, then come to JAX. The folks that have done this are the happiest residents.

If you're too young, haven't seen enough of the world, you'll feel like you're in a retirement community a couple of decades too soon.

I moved here from Chicago 7 years ago. I miss it.

The Confederate thing isn't really "Conservative", considering that the majority of government officials in the Confederate States of America (CSA), including their President Jefferson Davis, were originally Democrats in the United States. President Lincoln was the first Republican President of the US, and many runaway slaves from the CSA became prominent Republican politicians in the US, as well as Soldiers and Sailors, which are almost exclusively Republican professions (I know this from personal experience). Neo-Nazi and Ku Klux Klan type organizations also despise the Republican Party and its politicians, and until Nobama, almost always voted for Democrats.
