Hi everybody,

My wife and I think of relocating in the Jax area. I heard that Jax is a city that offers many job in the insurance sector. I work in the property and casualty insurance sector (home and car insurance) for 15 years and want to move in a place that could offer good corporate jobs (head office jobs not agencies)

Do you think Jax could be a good place for me ???

Thanks in advance for your help,

Martin

this was very true prior to 2000. every major insurance company had a branch or headquarters here. many have left though.

Insurance is one of our big industries. From what I hear, the big insurance companies around here are tightening their belts as much as the big financial companies. Plenty of people looking for work, getting paid less than before...it's not the worst here, but it's not the best either.

Only way to know for sure is to start applying for jobs and see what kind of feedback you get. Best of luck .
