I don't know anything about SJF, but I did want to point out that the majority of the homes in our area of Durbin Crossing are $600K+, and the homes probably average 4000+ sf. Durbin Crossing south does seem to average lower than that.

One thing to think about when building in St Johns Forest as opposed to Coastal Oaks ( Nocatee- gated community ) is that in SJF you are bound by the walls of your community. The area just outside SJF is very transient as there is a major truck stop right there at 210 and 95. Almost every day you will see random hitchhikers trying to thumb a ride and walking around the gas stations in the area. As a general rule hitchhikers in urban areas are about 100% likely to have a felony record of some type. So while you might feel safe having your kids run around the neighborhood, they cannot feel free to walk outside the gate like here in Nocatee where the entire area is off the beaten path and connected through nature trails and golf cart paths. You are also about 20 minutes further to the beach in SJF then in CO. Just a few things to give some thought - hope it helps.

The truckers and hitchhikers are a valid concern, but the truck stop is nearly a mile away and on the other side of 95, so I am not too concerned. Once kids get out of the neighborhoods anything can happen, no matter where you are. As for the drive, it is 20 minutes to Mickler Beach from SJF, which we think is reasonable, and I even think a few more miles "buffer" to the beach will help in the event of a hurricane. Appreciate the insights though.

Any SJF residents on the board willing to share their thoughts? I'm curious about:

a) how do you like the neighborhood in general compared to others?
b) do you regret moving there?
c) how do you like Litestream's internet service? - Can you stream Netflix, does their 100GB cap ever affect you?
d) do you have any concerns or negative experiences with the truck stop and the people who frequent it?
e) what is your experience with left-hand turns coming out of the neighborhood?
f) did you have any surprises from a cost of living standpoint after moving in?
g) any bugs, critters, snakes, crocks, hogs to worry about?

Thanks!

Management company / First coast management/ of SJF provide very bad service. Some service listed in anual report, but not done. Where is the money?
