I am possibly planning a relocation to Jax sometime in the upcoming months. Being that many people have relocated there, I thought it might be interesting to see how it compares with other places.

I'm going to be moving down from Raleigh, but I'm from the Northeast (Connecticut to be exact) originally so I'm particularly curious how it compares and what you think...

Havent lived there yet but will let you know in a week or so! We're moving down this week from Asheville (originally from South Florida..) and we're super excited.. Still has the southern hospitality mixed with all the big modern conveniences..

Lived in Orlando, Charlotte, Hartford (Currently)

Has some of the "Florida vibe" of Orlando, but not the madness and MUCH better beach access.

Has some of the "established" feel regarding infrastructure and history of Hartford without the burnt out husk of a city core.

Has a lot of the "Southern boom town" new feel of Charlotte without the too fast growth (You won't see neighborhoods around downtown being raised and 14 towers proposed in 5 years.) and IMHO a better looking facade with the bridges, river etc.
