I didn't see any messages here about the TPC. For those of you who don't know - there are practice rounds Tuesday and Wednesday (there was one today too - but Tuesday and Wednesday are a lot more active). You can buy 3 tickets for $30 - I buy mine at Publix and I think you can buy them on line and print them on your computer these days. Use them however you like - like 3 people can use them on a single day. Parking is free at the lots on CR 210. The practice rounds are a lot of fun - you can take pictures - get autographs - etc.

Wednesday is military appreciation day. I believe admission is free for active duty military. And Tim McGraw will be giving a short show late in the afternoon (like at 4:30 or 5:30).

Of course - if you want information about tournament tickets - there is plenty of that on line. Robyn

Didn't have a chance to go this year because my brother came to visit us (from Sunday through yesterday) and he doesn't care for golf. But I have seen Mr. Woods in past years:

I know it's too last for this year but I have been to practice rounds in the past and actually enjoy them more than the tournament days. The players are much more relaxed and will usually come over and chat with you and sign autographs. I did not know about the ticket deal but will definitely check that out for next year.

Robyn:

I've got to drop off a friend early in the am. She's a Jax Community Photographer for the paper. Not sure if I can get her past the gate though so I'm going to see if I can find someone to give her a ride in.
I've talked to several people who have gone to the tournies in the past and I've been to them but not TPC. Everyone says it's hard to see anything much so I'm going to watch it on TV at one of the local (air conditioned) watering holes. Best part is I can ride my bike over.

She'll need press credentials to get in with a camera (don't have a clue how to get them but they are spiffy laminated things). Otherwise - she can probably pick up a ticket at Publix or from one of the "street vendors". There are lots of other rules as well (no cell phones - purses larger than 6x6x6 - food - etc.). There is a *ton* of security.

The course was actually planned to be very spectator friendly - and there are some excellent spots where you can watch the action. Robyn

The course is Fan Friendly and more family friendly than Augusta National.

They were very accomodating for the military as well.

I was disappointed that Phil Mickelson couldn't give everyone autographs but he played very well.

Tiger has lost cool points with me - he didn't have a personality and now he doesn't have a game.

Military admission was free (Ticketmaster) all week. Great tournament - had a good time.

Saw on the news the other night cell phones are now allowed on the course just use common sense and no problem they said. And the entertainment for this afternoon for Military appreciation day is Darius Rucker of Hootie and the Blowfish

Check out my picture of Mr. Woods in the other TPC thread. Looks just like the one in the FTU today .

I am kind of fussy about autographs and hats. This year I did a PVB Fedex Cup Winner's hat - Jim Furyk and VJ Singh.

After running up and down hills to take pictures the last couple of days - my legs are shot! Robyn
