Last month, we got terribly hot under the collar when Jaguar released a tantalising teaser sketch of a sub-XK production concept. Well, this is it. It's called the Jaguar C-X16. And it's gorgeous.

it's going into production. Soon. We'll likely see the C-X16 at the end of 2012 with a naturally-aspirated V6, supercharged V6 and a hybrid.
I absolutely love the look of this car, the stance is aggressive, but still eloquent, perfect mix of beauty and aggression, if I could buy in this price range I would have to be seriously tempted by an Aston, to be turned away from this one.
If this is priced anywhere near Vantage levels that thing will flop so hard... I admit, it's a very pretty car. That's pretty much the only thing the XK has going for it it as well. Starting in the low 60s I could see it... maybe. The Cayman will probably be the better car.
I think this car is placed below the XK on the Jaguar hierarchy.
It is, and I like most of the things with it, for one, it has a new boosted V6 instead of that old heavy V8, so it should be nimble, extensive use of CA and aluminum should keep weight down and rigidity up, for good handling, both from an engineering and an aesthetic perspective, this seems like a really great package.

I'm not a fan of any car produced by Tata Motors. They leave a lot to be desired. Yeah, it may have nice sheet metal but if it has the same build quality as a Tata car or a Rover, you can have it. This is one area that the folks from India do not accel....yet. But we all are soon find out considering Ford just sunk several billion in a new plant there.
