Black convertible with a salvage title for 16K Others in good condition sell in the 30's
Anyway,we looked it over and found out it had been hit in the rear with mostly cosmetic damage.
Looked perfect...Supercharged 510 HP so I took a chance.
Turned out to be my lucky day.A car that sold new for over 100K and it runs beautifully It's a blast to drive and has a very nice exhaust tone.
Had it for a year now and only problem was condensation problem in the A/C which wasn't too pricey

"No stupid questions, only stupid people..." ...Is there any warranty option on a salvage car? I'm guessing not, but aftermarket...?

Why: Before buying my 911 Turbo (used) end of 2011, I closely examined those Jaguar coupes, then-new. Then again, when I made a strike on something more interesting and new (my 911 GTS) in 2016. I do believe Tata, the parent at the at time, offered a complete 5 year warranty on new vehicles. That being about how long I'd finance the deal. I would be wary of owning these outside of that warranty, simply for the "unknown" factor.

My favorite guy on YouTube, Hoovie, bought a MP4-12C McLaren recently. Punchine: he's keeping the warranty (from McLaren, I assume) for $4K/year going, considering the car has had a hundred thousand dollars(!!) in repairs since new, including a new engine and now a second transmission. Lot of problems with those McLarens, and like Jaguar if they say "we've solved that!", well, I'd say: give me the warranty anyway, okay?

Maybe with a busted-out $16K salvage title, none of that matters: pays yer money, takes yer chances, and it if catastrophically blows up for a second time, you do like they used to with those damn Jaguar XJS V12s coupes and convertibles:

Park it.

Knew I was taking a chance .Brought it to the best Jag mechanic in SWFlorida (Aston/Jag in Naples) and he went through everything and said all was good.
