I know, but kost people I know who gotten other jobs were already employed.
Last time I looked you had maybe three connections on LinkedIn. Your claims are based on what? The majority of the people who applied for the job I advertised had over 50 connections. The larger your network, the more likely you are to learn of job openings.

Yup, three connections, 1 Ivy League Professor and 2 CEO's. Good to see you back AnniePoo
Linkedin is great. It helped me in my search. I would search indeed.com for my position and go to the company website. I would apply on the company website then search linkedin for a contact. If you belong to groups, you can contact people in the group, they don't have to be a contact. I would just email everyone I could. Sometimes I got nothing, sometimes I got the HR or hiring manager contact. I got an interview Friday based solely on having gotten the contact name and email of the HR manager for the position through someone on linkedin who was in one of my groups.
I've been using LinkinIn. I've found some people that I've worked with and asked for recommendations and some are people who I've done outside activities with-such as travel soccer/Girl Scouts. I figure the more people I talk to who know I am looking for work-the better it is that I may get a lead to a job.
