I interviewed for a sales position at a comany that sells Mac and Apple products. I researched the company the night before and went to the interview the next day at the store the position was posted for. I was expecting to be interviewed by a bubbly way too optimistic HR girl and I was.....................via webcam.

The whole interview was done with me sitting out in the middle of the busy store on a computer chatting with HR who was somewhere else. It was a little uncomfortable especially since I was expecting a face to face chat. Regardless it was a poor interview, and I chalked it up as a lesson learned. I'm sure the reason I was not hired was because I interviewed so poorly that day.

Could have been a tactic to see how you performed under pressure. I just had an interview with the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the first question the dude asked me was "if you die today, what will your obituary say" and needless to say I was caught off guard, but after a second, regained composure and made up a suitable answer (so I thought) and continued. I'd love to know where they come up with this stuff. My last interview (interrogation) before that was three hours of questions and answers read from a written script of what seemed like 200 pre-determined questions at Citi Bank for an IT directors job. That was after the security guard watched me pee in a cup and had it tested first before I got thru the door.
