Do Employers Know What Entry Level Mean? (degree, job, wages)

The sad thing that the people who have the experience want more money than the employers are willing to give, and the job ends up going to someone with the experience but in a desperate situation where they need a job now and can't negotiate . . .
. . . and will be gone the minute the economy picks back up.
Wow, some of these positions that you listed are quite perplexing. I mean, how in the world can a Database Administrator also do the work of a receptionist?

LOL! I used to work in the technology field. While there are a few who are pretty social, I have seen my fair share of techies who do fit the stereotype. However, I have managed to get a few of them to talk more after they got to know me .
That isn't a 1099 contract job, it doesn't meet the test. You can NOT set employees hours and convince the IRS that the worker is not an employee. Heavy duty penalties for misclassifying employees as 1099 contract workers........
I think entry-level is just a euphemism for "low pay".
I've always taken it to mean "our hiring managers don't know their head from a hole in the ground, so we actually are ignorant that our ad means you can come work for our $hitty company for $hitty wages where you too can be treated like $hit while working with other dumbasses like ourselves."
