I applied for an internship on December 29th. I finally received an email on January 8th.

So on Friday, 8 AM, I received an e-mail for paid internship from a small company. The e-mail consisted of:
"[xxxx],
Good morning, thanks for responding to our ad. Our shop is located near the [xxxx], do you have your own car? Let’s get an interview set up next week and we can talk.
Thanks
[xxxxxxxx]"

To which I responded with:

"Mr. [xxxx],

Thank you for inviting me for an interview. I am very excited to be considered for this position, and I look forward to having a chance to meet you. To answer your question, I do own a car. I should be available next week before 4 pm on the weekdays. Thank you for the opportunity. I look forward to meeting you in person and sharing information on how I can be an asset to [xxxxx].

Thanks,
[xxxxx]"

However, I didn't get to responded until 5 PM that same day.

Now it's Wednesday and I still haven't heard back. Should I e-mail again or call their number on their website? What exactly do I say?

Sorry, I don't have much experience with this and would greatly appreciate your guy's help. Thank you!

They may just be fishing for candidates and threw a wide net. I would just email back and ask if they are still interviewing and you are interested. Something nearly identical happened to me several months ago. After I inquired the hiring manager emailed back and said they had filled the position.
