Hello.
I am new to staffing agencies but I was wondering if it is okay to work with multiple staffing agencies? Should I let them know that I am working with someone else (to avoid duplicates or legal issues?).

Check their contracts you'd have to sign. Usually, they have a time frame where you can only work with them.

Sure as long as 2 agencies don't submit you for the same position. I've had as many as 9 agencies call about the same job (the one I am at now) and I ended up going with the first. The only thing they typically have you sign when you sign up with them is an authorization for background check. When they submit you for a position most have you sign an exclusivity agreement for that particular job (there is an order number associated with the position) and then the contract right before you start where the company cannot hire you without paying the agency and you cannot switch agencies while on the job. I can apply for jobs with other agencies at other companies with no problem.

Keep in mind any exclusivity agreement that inhibits you from getting a job would be very difficult to enforce legally. The law really disfavors anything that inhibits a person's right to work.
