Same with me - I never had a job before and I am 25. The reason why is not part of this thread, so just leave it at that. I do agree its weird because everyone else up till 23 would be on their 3rd or 4th job already. I noticed that as well.

For me, some employers actually told me that no one will ever hire me because I never worked before. I know its not the case as in never, but I know what they mean. They would rather take people who work and dont want anything to do with people who are unemployed, or its because its a turn-off. But, we do need to start somewhere though. This is for jobs that I tried getting after I graduated from college 1 year ago, so can def relate even though its not retail jobs. I do have internship and volunteer experience which would equal an actual job, but that apparently does not count for anything (according to employers) - they want actual work experience like retail.
