I don't submit job applications after 10pm because I fear they might look at the time stamp and think "why is he awake at 2am? Must be stressed".
Or, this person works another shift than the person reading it, which is why they want to change jobs. Or, they are taking care of a sick relative and getting two things at once done. Or, they are in a different time zone. No one looks at or cares of the time stamp on a job. You are putting up these silly rules with no basis at all.
Last year, I served on a search committee that had to sift through a few dozen applications that were submitted online, deciding who to select for an interview. We viewed the submitted materials online, on a web site. The applicants were presented to us alphabetically. Not that I would have cared, but I spent hours reading through applications and I don't recall having access to when they were submitted. If I didn't have access to that info, no one else on the committee did, either.
So in that instance, it didn't matter whether someone submitted their application at 3:00AM on Sunday or 8:00AM on Monday. The people who decided whether they would be considered were none the wiser about who submitted when.
I actually like to post our job adds on Friday then come in Monday and review those submitted. No idea why anyone would question an app posted over the weekend.
Why would it matter? Would they prefer you submit it during work hours?
