So I have TWO informational interviews on Tuesday. One is face to face the other is on the phone. The one over the phone is simply a networking one informational that I initiated, but the first one I am not so sure. Let me explain.

I became intrigued with a company about a month ago and sent my information to the recruiter. The recruiter contacted me and asked me if I would relocate to the city where the company was located, and I said yes. Fast forward to last week. The recruiter contacts me to tell me that the Director of Talent would like to meet with me for an informational interview as she will be in Chicago on Tuesday. I accepted.

With that being said I am a little confused. I am not sure if this informational interview is a job type interview or the normal type of informational interview that is more about networking and learning about the company? I just found it interesting that this person was willing to go out of their way to meet on their trip here to just hold an informational interview when usually it is the person that is interested (myself) in the company that initiates the informational.

So should I just treat this as a normal job interview? I mean I won't ask about working for the company or about jobs. But should I take my resume in case, dress up in the suit and tie (if it was networking I would not wear tie) and expect this to be a job interview type? I guess I am little confused since it's the employer initiating the informational interview with me instead of me initiating it as it usually is in most cases.
