Hi everyone. I am in need of some career advice. I am 25 years old and I have a BA in Economics and I will have a Master's in Urban Planning finished next year. I am getting my Master's in Urban Planning because I like public policy but I'm not sure if its a good fit.
The problem is that I'm just uncertain about whether or not going into planning is something that I want to do or if it is just something I wouldn't mind doing. I think I am fortunate enough to have the luxury of doing anything I want and I don't think its Planning.
I am a huge news/public policy hound. I love reading and talking about international politics and policy and I feel like I would be much happier pursuing a career in one of those fields. My question is what kind of jobs are available in such fields for someone like me who has a BA and MUP? Is it too late for me to start down this different career path? I am kind of stumped as to how I would find a job in international relations/politics. Any advice?
What about joining the foreign service? I believe that the federal government has many jobs related to your interests. From what I hear, it is almost impossible to get hired for these jobs as a fresh graduate at the moment, though maybe it is something to shoot for as a long term goal
