No idea. Dispute that it should not be shown as negative. Usually you can easily dispute online.
In the future once I start working again I do want to get another credit card so I can build up my credit. I only have 1 credit card that's in good standing because I only have 1 credit card....American Express lol
Try Capital One if you are looking for a card that seems easy to get without a lot of credit history. My fiance's credit is a train wreck. He was working on it, and just got approved for a card with a low limit. Told him I was going to apply for one, as if they will give him a card, I should be able to get 1 with about a 10,000 limit. LOL
Not putting him down. I just grew up in a family that put a BIG emphasis on credit and I have always been obsessed (no late payments in the last 10 years. It;s a sickness)

Yeah I been a American Express card holder since 2006 and no late payments. I learned my lesson from when I was in college. Pay on time.
Btw, Ameican Express checks my credit every year LOL
My cell phone company checks mine. For some reason. Same company for something like 9 years. Never once shut off or even suspended for late, yet they check it every year. Not sure why.
But it should not show up in the "negative" column. I have closed stuff (loans that were transferred to another lender, a card that was closed and the number changed due to theft) both show up on my report but not in the negative. A "negative" is only supposed to be something that has negative history. A closed card will alter the available credit and the usage % but it should not be seen as negative
