So along that same line of logic, if I box in my spare time, would you not hire me because you're afraid I'm going to punch another employee?

I don't think that's what the other poster was referring to, but rather having it generally neat and clean.

I don't wash my car every week, but if it's got mud all over it or bird crap or whatever, I'll get it washed. I know people who haven't washed or vacuumed their car since the day they bought it six years previous and they are just gross. I think that's what the earlier poster was referring to.

(And I was talking about nicotine, dog drool, or just the haze that gets on your windows if you don't Windex them a few times a year.)

Totally different scenario.

You are living in a fairytale.

That's at least 5 years away, if ever.

Not at all.

After all, like a person's car, what does one boxing in their spare time have to do with their capability or doing the job and their PERSONAL hygiene?

If their car is a pigsty, then they are obviously a person who doesn't give a rats ass about keeping the area around them clean and tidy. And they are also a disorganized mess. Pass.

People who box, practice a martial art, kickbox, etc. generally do so as a form of exercise, not to assault another individual.

What does their car have to do with them smelling good (I agree someone not putting on deodorant in the workplace is terrible, because everyone has to smell it), wearing thw right clothes that are clean (if you're serving customers, you don't want to be served by someone who has wrinkled clothes with stains on it), and if they can handle the bookkeeping responsibilities (which generally only requires intense attention to detail and a calculator)?

Really? You can't figure out why an employer wouldn't want to hire someone whose car looks like there is a family of rats living in it?
