If all you have to offer in the way of a reference is a company which is out of business it's highly unlikely your application will even make the first cut and will be dumped in "File 13" immediately. Knock your socks off ...
What if the next person lies better than you? You guys are making this argument based on the assumption that by lying, you are going to get the job. But that may not be the case at all. The person who interviews after you might lie a little bit better than you. Does that not seem like a slippery slope to you people?

You encounter slippery slopes with a lot of things.
It's a cowardly tactic that may prevent someone else who is more qualified from getting a job. You would be taking food off their family's plate. That's an entitlement mentality, where you don't deserve what you get, and as a consequence merits a Texas style ass whippin.

A few hundred bankers crashed an entire economy and put millions of people out of work through dishonesty (maybe permanently).
I guess you can call lying what you want but in the end it's selling yourself and you know how salesman lie threw their teeth. I'm completely capable of a doing a job it's just that I don't have actual on the job experience so I should have put an out-of-business company on my resume saying that I did this, in order to prove myself. It's a sad world we live in but you do what you gotta do anyone oppose?
So, if you're a lazy, probably never worked a hard day in your life potential employee, you feel you deserve a job over someone that paid their dues?

So instead of rectifying the situation, you want to contritube to it? That's pathetic and lazy.
If you don't stack up from a resume perspective, the right thing to do would be to improve your marketability, but that requires work.
