TVSG...at long last. Congratulations. I hope you take all that you have learned and teach others...and I mean ALL that you have learned, whether you agree with what you have learned, or not.
Now, you have a job, let's hope 2013 is a good year for you.

I had a government job that took eight fricken months to continue the process after exams and some of the checks they do. Eight. Fricken. Months. I turned them down because another government job moved a lot faster and offered more hours so I went with them.

Oh I definitely will and already thinking of new strategies for tomorrow when I return.
BTW IMO that's fast for a government job, one government job I hate I applied in November and got the job the following September. I figured I didn't get the job and got called MONTHS later for a job interview. THEN months later I got a call for a second interview- I must have sounded surprised on the phone and the girl was like "is something wrong?" and I was like "I just figured you guys hired someone" and she laughed and said "well that's government."

Even when I started, it still took 2 weeks for me to get
1. Company Email Address
2. Payroll Number
3. Password to log into computer
Tomorrow I get my picture ID and the code for my office phone. lol
Yeah I started a thread about the long hiring process and how the Hurricane delayed the hiring process. If it wasn't for the Hurricane I may have been working before Thanksgiving or before December.
I remember that. And I am glad that you got something before you had to panic...too much.
