I have recently been called for several interviews. There are few issues with these interviews. One is whether most employers would mind me wearing the leg brace to the interview. I will have to wear my pants underneath the brace. The other is that two of my upcoming interviews are in another city and, thus, would require me to relocate. Do you think employers would be reluctant to hire an out of area applicant who is on crutches out of fear they would have difficulty relocating? And, if so, what can I do to reassure the employer that relocating is not a problem and can be done quickly?
Wear the leg brace. Let them know you sprained your ankle and you will be healed fully in 2 2 weeks. Mention it casually. Would be even better if you sprained it mountain biking or sport related. This way you don't sound like a couch potato. they won't ask but will be wondering about the injury.

If you mention sports they will think about insurance claims.

Address it upfront and quickly. With the ADA they are going to be reluctant to mention it, and they may wonder why you put that you did not need accommodation on the application and show up in a leg brace.
I would open with an apology that you are not as mobile as you wish but you sprained your ankle and anticipate that you will be on crutches for "x" amount of time.
i agree with the general consensus here - just casually mention it so they know it's just a sprained ankle and will be healed soon.
i wouldn't lie and say you got it playing sports/exercising if you didn't, but i wouldn't try to hide it if you did and it comes up. that's really not relevant either way.

I agree. It's a minor injury that will fully heal. Ankle sprains can happen in a day to day setting. Focus on your interview skills and wow them. By the time you are seated talking them they will barely notice anymore likely.
