Such lists are nothing but useless. Most of them are mid-to-large scale corproations who are hiring througout the year. Even during hiring freeze (think 2008-2009), most of these corporations hire hundreds every month to fill budgeted positions. Every Fortune 100 corporation is hiring in August. And will continue to hire in Sept, Oct, Nov and Dec!! They may not have a position that fits your profile but they are hiring. What is the point of such lists?

I hate to be a naysayer, but I agree with Daven J here. I've found most larger companies are hiring for something at some point during the year.
